First fundraising target + "logistical problems"

Some laptops urgent to secure before the space is wasted!

In a nutshell (with everyone working at UBI / minimum levels whereever they are) our "first impact" fund target for the next 3 months is approx $8-10k while the yearly target at that level is $80-200k (bumped so we can keep admin costs down to around 10%). The full break down of intiial expenses and program asks can be found here via Google Drive

Why is the initial 3 months amount so low compare to the rest? the key thing is that we are still looking at about 2+ months to finalize non profit registration in the US and the other reason is to test the various ways of sending and bringing in the Chromebooks into Cambodia ideally without having them be taken hostage by corrupt Cambodian customs sadly.

We have heard numerous horror stories of laptops and other aid goods being held hostage unless they are paid for double once again for their actual value here. Jeff himself has encountered this and sadly, left the machines abandoned instead while others have resorted to having small quantities sent to neighboring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam and then having them brought over by travellers or tourists which is not a scalable way to operate. We have also been referred to by freight forwarding specialists but it also may be possible to work out some cover directly with the Cambodian govt themselves (tragic that is even happens for things like this intended to help).

Essentially it is vital that we DONT scale up until we know what the best approachs are and the pros and cons of each and the best time to figure this out this is during the registration wait as well.

Now that we have space, for anyone reading this.. if you're in the region and you do have machines or other things that can help, we can take them! For example, TeacherTech is in need of furntiure more than computers currently.
